ABOUT THE ROLE:

Lucas are currently seeking a Field Engineer to join the project team on an exciting and fast paced Pipeline Construction Project as part of a new mining development. This excellent role offers the unique opportunity for a junior Engineer to gain experience with one of the world’s largest EPCM contractors working simultaneously in the Mining and Construction industries.

Reporting to the Construction Engineer, responsibilities include:

·        Ensure the Construction Superintendent and Supervisors are aware of all Project requirements and technical specifications.

·        Assist the co‐ordination of Subcontractors and Service Suppliers to ensure they perform work in accordance with the schedule and specification.

·        Prepare RFQ's and Purchase Orders for major and minor items.

·        Assist the Construction Engineer to ensure correct and timely completion of pipeline works, including pump stations and artesian bores.

·        Assist Construction Engineer by identifying engineering problems, and proposing solutions to ensure minimal disruption to progress of works.

·        Assist the Construction Engineer to ensure the works are constructed in compliance to the Client's requirements with a strong emphasis on safety, environment, and cost effectiveness.

·        Assist with the timely preparation of Material Requisitions, Construction Schedules and Management Reports.

·        Assist with correlation of quality reports, and final preparation and submission of the Project Data Book.

WHAT YOU NEED:

·        Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Civil Preferred);

·        Experience working in remote areas and on a FIFO roster (Preferred but not Essential);

·        Two years’ experience in same / similar role (Preferred but not Essential); and

·        CPCCWHS1001 White Card (Preferred but not Essential);
