The Role

We are looking for an AutoCAD Drafter to join our National Drafting team.  Reporting to the National Drafting Manager, you will be responsible for creating and editing structural engineering designs using AutoCAD for various wireless telecommunication sites.  Your days will be spent:

• Liaising with Design, Structural and Electrical Engineers to ensure the drawings meet all requirements and specifications
• Recording technical details clearly using legible design sketches and easy-to-understanding language
• Participating in the peer review process to maintain high standards and minimise rework
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project information through the disciplined utilisation of the MS Project management software
• Assisting the Drafting Manager in the ongoing improvement of the standard details library and AutoCAD blocks
• Continuously looking for ways to improve or streamline your ways of working, while being mindful of the 'customer experience' of your key stakeholders.
• Fostering a positive work environment and participating as a positive, collaborative team member

About You

To be successful within this role at Catalyst, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Drafting, Structural Engineering, or similar discipline
• Experience working in a similar drafting role within the wireless telecommunications industry
• Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, liaising effectively with planners, property consultants, project managers and other engineers
• Strong computer literacy, with intermediate skills using MS Office.  Intermediate to Advanced skill level using AutoCAD is essential.  MS Project would be an advantage
• Ability to create and communicate clear instructions to other engineers and project team members
• Highly organised in managing own work and working to deadlines (neither cutting corners nor reworking to perfection)
