Based on customer requests and specifications, we design and manufacture specialized equipment for underground drilling. Our two main products are the Robofore, a fully computerized drilling jumbo, and Pantofore, a manually operated drilling jumbo. NorthConnex Project
Robodrill is supplying 14 Drilling Jumbos to Lend-Lease Bouygues JV for the excavation of a 9km motorway tunnel. This project is still in progress.
WestConnex M4 East and WestConnex New M5 Main Works Projects
Robodrill is supplying 22 Drilling Jumbos to CPB Samsung John Holland JV and CPB Dragados Samsung JV for the excavation of a 33km motorway tunnel. The M4 project is about to end and the M5 project is still in progress.
Recently, Robodrill has landed a new project for the Metro of Sydney (CPB Ghella John-Holland JV) and has positioned itself on a call for tenders as part of the WestConnex M4-M5 Link Project.
In order to honor its contractual obligations in time, Robodrill SA needs to recruit 2 Mechanical Engineering Technicians.
About the role
The Mechanical Engineering Technician ensures the after-sale service on-site.
The Mechanical Engineering Technician will be responsible for:
- Reassembling Robodrill drilling machines on site after transportation
- Setting up and testing the machine before starting
- Performing site commissioning and starting of the machine with the customer
- Performing mechanical maintenance, upgrading or renovation of the drilling machines, according to safety rules and production requirements
- Advising the customer on the best way to use the machine
- Analysing risks and setting up preventive measures
- Performing training in driving and maintenance of the machines
- Managing the relation with the customer on technical issues
- Communicating with the French design and technical department, to ensure the best efficiency of machine use.
Skills and experience
You have a minimum of 5 years' experience doing after-sale service on site, mostly abroad. You are able to work in full autonomy and are highly adaptable whatever the conditions. You are comfortable with civil engineering work conditions, especially on tunnel construction site. You speak multiple languages in addition to English (preferably French). You are energetic, entrepreneurial, outgoing and have a positive attitude.
Requirements:
- Highly specialized knowledge in industrial field, in particular, in construction of electromechanical assembly and automatism machinery
- Professional degree in maintenance, engineering, production engineering OR a significant experience in maintenance of electromechanical assembly and automation machinery
- Preference given to candidates with proven leadership experience and/or project management experience.
