The Company

Our client is a market leader that has global reach whilst still maintaining strong ties within their local communities. With a national approach across the capital works team, budgets are approved and projects are underway to upgrade their sites and lines to increase capability and capacity. They are seeking an experienced Project Engineer for an immediate start on contract, to continue to drive these projects to ensure scope budget and timelines are maintained.

The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Manage the project delivery required across multiple upgrade projects
You will be highly organised and able to trouble shoot problems and communicate across the group and to the Project Manager to ensure projects are carried out to time, scope and maintaining budget.
Ensure projects are executed in a safe manner and promote safety as a priority with suppliers, internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of project activities which can be readily accessed to build knowledge and to evaluate project performance transparently.

Your Background
In order to be successful in this role you will be:

Tertiary qualified in Engineering (Mechanical or Automation preferred) or similar
Minimum 3 + years experience in Engineering roles within manufacturing - food manufacturing and FMCG preferred.
Projects experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding stakeholder management ability
Ability to self start and motivate and must be action orientated
Thrive on change and complexity and be solution focused.

It is based an hour West of Melbourne and is an autonomous role, in so far as, you will be given ownership of your projects.
