Monica Clare Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading engineering consultancy that has divisions across mechanical, structural, electrical and acoustic engineering. They mainly service the mining sector and heavy industries.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Risk & Functional Safety team. Due to the team's level of expertise and technical knowledge they have minimal competitors and 95% of their work is repeat business or referrals. Their client base is extensive and they are proud that many European manufacturers have implemented their recommendations across their companies globally.

This technically focused role will suit an electrical engineer with a pragmatic approach, who does not get bogged down in unnecessary detail. The ideal candidate will be experienced in risk management and/or design. Our client will also consider an electrical engineer seeking to expand their skills into risk and functional safety.
 
The role will involve the following key activities:

• Conducting technical assessments (e.g. design verification), functional safety assessments (e.g. SIL determination) and facilitating risk workshops (e.g. HAZOP)
• Preparing assessment documentation with analytical and technical robustness
• Preparing cost estimates and proposals for new opportunities
• Coordinating project scopes of works, budgets and schedules
• Managing relationships with new and existing clients
• Being an active member in creating and maintaining good team and customer relations

To be successfully considered for the role you will hold:

• Electrical Engineering degree 
• Minimum 8 years' experience
• Demonstrated and recent "hands on" experience in technical investigations (e.g. problem analysis), technical audits, hazard identification, risk assessment quantification and mitigation techniques
• Demonstrated high level technical report writing skills
• Able to apply complex sets of requirements in a practical manner
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Effective time management skills
• Current drivers licence
