Operations Manager - capital projects
Our client is going through a period of transformation and are now looking to recruit to a senior hands on manager to run a pivotal part of their business
This is great role for someone looking for career development and progression coupled with the opportunity to manage a geographical area
This role is to manage a portfolio of Capital Projects delivering high quality solutions on time and to budget.
It will require a strong focus on safety and compliance, the role manages a team of Engineers and Delivery Co-ordinators planning and delivering Capital projects to a budget of approximately $30M across the whole Sydney basin
The duties for this operations manager role include:
- Developing scopes for jobs in accordance with specification
- Transform the business and create a structure to develop efficiences
- Overseeing works and providing technical advice as and when required
- Developing operational management processes and project planning
- Creating a budgets in accordance with project delivery
- Commercial and stakeholder management
- Develop a client management plan inline with projects
The ideal candidate will require:
- Tertiary qualification in civil / mechanical engineering or related discipline
- Engineering and business management experience essential
- Water experience will be held in high regard
- Postgraduate project management studies preferred
- Strong client management experience
- Knowledge of building codes and safety laws
- A minimum of 10 years management experience on maintenance or engineering projects
- Be highly analytical with strong commercial acumen
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
