The role:


We are looking for a dedicated professional with a combination of strong leadership, commercial acumen & technical ability. In this highly visible leadership role, you will have ownership of the Sydney Environmental Assessment & Planning team and be a key decision maker in our business. You will lead our highly skilled team to provide positive outcomes for a diverse range of high profile clients. 


You will be responsible for the performance, growth and future direction of the team which has an excellent technical capability and a strong reputation in the market. 


With further growth planned, the team has a good base of work and is well positioned for market opportunities. Reaching profitability and growth targets and further developing and implementing the team’s business plan will be a core focus in this role.
 
You will be working closely with market leaders, project directors and project managers, in addition to providing career development opportunities for your team and being a mentor for the group. 


Through client service excellence and by harnessing the talents of our people, you will help improve the lives of communities where we live and work.


About you:


• Extensive experience in an Environmental Assessment & Planning role, ideally in leadership roles within a high performing consultancy firm working with public and private sector clients
• Degree qualified in an Engineering or project management discipline (Post Graduate qualifications   are preferred)
• Effective & proven business development, networking and client relationship management skills
• Proven history in identifying, winning, maintaining & delivering exceptional projects
• Motivated self-starter with a willingness to take ownership for designated projects and work as part of a larger team on major projects
• Ability to develop lasting client relationships based on trust and delivery excellence 
• Proven background in delivering projects from proposal to completion
• Experience in the administration of contracts on behalf of client organisations
• Ability to mentor and train team members
