Primary purpose:

• Coordinate the integration of configuration design and testing activities in line with overall project delivery requirements
• Lead a team of project managers in the delivery of Electrical Isolation Improvement projects to ensure they meet the agreed scope of works in a financially responsible manner within a safe working environment in compliance with Sydney Trains reliability and quality requirements.
• Manage the investigation, analysis and authorisation of the design, implementation, testing and the delivery of correction of second and third level Control Systems failures and defects, providing Engineering Design and Commissioning Authority.

Key responsibilities:

1. Manage the planning and specification of new Electrical Isolation Improvement projects by preparing bids, incorporating business cases, schedules, budgets and scope.
2. Manage the delivery of Electrical Isolation Improvement projects by monitoring and reporting project performance delivering updated project schedules, cash flows and status reports to ensure projects are completed on time, to cost, quality, standards, and to agreed scope of works.
3. Manage the System Integration and delivery of reliable, safe, effective and efficient total engineering multi-disciplinary design and construction solutions for Electrical Isolation Improvements to achieve agreed design commitments and objectives.
4. Provide expert engineering advice and direction, review the production of feasibility studies, concept designs, project plans/briefs, functional specifications, user requirements signoff, designs documentation, implementation plans, test plans, training documentation and commissioning plans to standard, quality and agreed project scope for Electrical Isolation Improvement projects.
