The Company:

Global engineering leader and innovator in rail technology. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious and driven candidate to join the ANZ business at a time of rapid growth. You will work directly with a highly experienced manager who will in turn develop and mentor you in all aspects of Project and Business Management.

The Position:

As Junior Project Manager you will work under the direct supervision of the Country Manager while you will interact, assist and provide advice on the different projects to the Senior Project Managers and the overseas based team.

You will help in coordinate projects, schedules, track the progress of projects and report their results.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Supervise different tasks across multiple projects interfacing with the Senior Project Managers based in Europe
• Facilitate the flow of information from the customer to the project team
• Spell out rules and standard of the regulatory agencies to the working team
• Make the arrangement for projects documentation on the recommendation and specification of the customer and ensure that specifications are met continuously interfacing with the team
• Maintain contact with clients and parties involves through email and phone calls, prepare presentations
• Identify potential local suppliers and facilitate the communication between them and the team
• Meet the customer for the project meetings
• Update information on the project management development, tools, regulations, market demand, and likely clients
• Suggest strategies of achieving the project goals to the team
• Cooperate with the Sales Manager to identify and manage new business opportunities lead by the projects

Requirements:

• 3 years minimum experience in Project Management
• A degree in computer science or engineering
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Outstanding human relation skills evident in the ability to work with the team and with the customers
• Ability to be proactive and independent, and to be interdependent on the team
• Knowledge of project management methodology, i.e. the project description, the project span, quality, needed resources, possible risk, relevant regulations and guidelines, most viable options, relevant tools, and methods available for execution
• Risk and Safety management experience in project management
• Proficiency in analysing and solving problems related to projects
• Proficiency in using modern information and communication technologies to projects (Microsoft Office, Project, SAP, Serena etc)
• Adherence to project specifications, as well as to the regulatory body guidelines for the project
