About the Role
In this role you will be part of the Cornell Design team providing additional design capacity and expertise to our clients during busy periods. You will regularly be working on our client's sites, integrated into their engineering and design teams to help them achieve their desired outcomes. At times this will be with large companies, other teams could be as small as 2-3 people. Often the role is fast paced and you will be required to adapt to new environments quickly. At Cornell Design clients come first, being able to appropriately manage client's expectations is a must.We are looking for people to start now and meet the criteria listed below.
Duties & responsibilities
To succeed you will need a flexible attitude towards changing work environments and projects. In addition you will need to be able to 'hit the ground running' in getting up to speed with our client's specific requirements and drawing standards. Professional presentation, punctuality and working well in a team are other essential attributes.
Skill & experience
Mechanical applicants must be proficient in Inventor and or Solidworks and have actual workplace experience in Inventor and or Solidworks design suites. More importantly you will have a toolmaking, CNC machining or fabrication and welding trade background with at least 8 year's post-trade design and drafting experience. In all applicants, a strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills are a must. All resumes shall be submitted in PDF.
