What is the role here?
Reporting to the Steel Detailing Manager your primary focus and responsibility is producing steel detail drawings using 3D modelling, for the production of accurate fabrication and erection documentation and data. You will confidently liaise with clients, project managers and consultants.
The abilities to demonstrate a daily attentiveness to detail and to maintain accurate documentation are paramount. Prioritising projects and working to meet strict deadlines will be what you thrive on.
What do I bring to succeed?
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Three years' experience using Tekla
- Demonstrated ability producing detailed shop drawings across a variety of structures
- Knowledge of the steel fabrication & erection environment, materials and methods
- Strong communication skills with all stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail
- Revit and Navisworks experience preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Strong demonstration of prioritising skills and time management
- An understanding of the structural steel industry and/or experience in similar engineering drafting role will be well regarded
