The company

Our client is a market leading business within the building products sector here in Australia, with strong emphasises on machinery reliability, automation and Continuous Improvement, this business is at the forefront of technology advancements. As a result of a shifting culture and structure a need has arisen for a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join this key manufacturing facility.
 
The role

Reporting into the Engineering Manager and sitting within the Site Leadership team, your responsibilities will include;

• Lead and develop the maintenance strategies and team within the plant, ensuring KPI's around; OEE, machine reliability, uptime, stoppages and OH&S are adhered to.
• Developing the maintenance team in fault finding techniques, RCA, Fishbone Diagrams and other methodologies to facilitate a thorough and proactive maintenance culture.
• Understand, program and troubleshoot electrical maintenance issues and putting in place short term and long term solutions and corrective actions.
• Building cross collaboration between Maintenance and Production, this also includes up skilling of production staff to attend to minor maintenance tasks.
• Conducting in depth machine analysis to properly detect and predict machine issues before they arise.

  
Your background

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

• Electrical Engineering degree or trade qualification. 
• Must have excellent troubleshooting experience with the ability to understand, assess and work through and resolve electrical issues.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing maintenance strategies to bring about a proactive and preventative maintenance culture.
• A proven background leading teams of trades and the ability to implement cultural change.
• You will be a strong communicator, both verbal and written with excellent problem solving abilities. 
• Experience in maintenance planning but at a minimum the ability to work with and understand CMMS systems.
