Our Structural Designer is moving back home and we need someone to fill their shoes. We have an excellent business in Sydney with a range of clients and projects. You will look forward to Monday mornings in this role where every week is different.
And we're winning big projects in Sydney. Projects such as Barangaroo, Sydney Light Rail, Sydney Metro, Grocon Ribbon Project, Etc.
About the opportunity
Based in our Chatswood office, this role will develop structural designs and drawings in conjunction with the geotechnical, geophysics and civil streams of the business. Your experience will include detailed structural design, 2D drafting works, 3D modelling, preparing plans, profiles and detail drawings for transport and bulk earthworks projects.
You will support our also support our Environments team on landfill projects and our Geotechnical team with transport infrastructure, you will work on landslides, slope stabilisation, slope remediation, ground anchors, demolition and temporary works, marine work, etc. You will also have the chance to get out and see the projects and meet clients to keep you engaged and see the relevance of your work.
About you
Your years of experience in drafting and your high standards and solid experience are your key skills.
Essential software experience should include:
- AutoCAD & Revit.
Ideally you will also have experience with:
- Bentley Microstation & 12D.
You will need to be IT savvy and enjoy getting exposure to and working with lots of data. You'll need to be technically confident to work in a stand-alone role. It is likely you'll have 7-10 years’ experience. You will have an expert group of Structural / Civil Engineers and Structural / Civil Designers on call for assistance in your role, although remote to this position.
