To meet Modis’s continuously growing pipeline of work, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join the team to support and drive our expanding business. Project engineer will provide co-ordination to assist the Principal Project Manager for a wireless communications infrastructure and LTE Project;

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Project Engineer working on phase 1 of LTE and wireless infrastructure; developing scope of works as required including compiling the vendor deliverables list (DL); delegated responsibility co-ordinating chunks of the work including but not limited to:
• Scopes of work and document lists
• Vendor quotations
• Vendor and internal Detailed design
• Procurement
• System Integration Testing (SIT),
• Broadcast Multicast System (BMS);
• User Equipment (UEs);
• Small cell trailers and / or COWs;
• LTE Lab to support applications team with their apps testing; and
• Other as required
• Assisting with co-ordination of interfaces and dependencies (there are many);
• Co-ordination with change and release to ensure technology changes are raised, endorsed and approved in time for SIT and Site testing, commissioning and integration;
• Co-ordination with ops readiness to ensure SF LTE will be handed over and transitioned to support in line with the schedule;
• Provide input into reporting such as actuals and forecasts relating to cost, schedule;
• Follow-up on actions assigned from weekly package meetings as well as other meetings as required;
• May be required to travel to site for ADHOC trips for up to a few days at a time;
• Willingness to travel to site to assist with site co-ordination of key activities such as during installation, configuration, testing and commissioning or other as required for back to back trips (highly desirable);
• Other tasks and duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Excellent stakeholder communication (essential as stakeholders are many)
• Experience managing numerous interfaces and dependencies
• Can be allocated some chunks of work, take ownership, and run with it to deliver a successful outcome to cost and schedule constraints
• Excellent time management skills
• Some technical background of LTE, microwave, wireless
• Familiar with Aconex, Projectwise, ServiceNow, MS Project, Primavera P6 would be desirable
