About The Role
Service Stream's Energy & Water business unit are seeking an experienced Solar PV Project Manager to work on our renewable energy contracts. Based out of our Regency Park (SA) office, and reporting into the National Operations Manager, the role will be offered on a full time permanent basis. As the Solar PV Project Manager, you will provide project management services to assist the project delivery of roof and ground mounted installations, and ensure all operational activities across the businesses are efficient and effective.
Key Responsibilities
Your engineering or electrical trade background will be utilised to ensure project specifications are executed appropriately onsite and that all inspection, testing and commissioning requirements are carried out according to our procedures and in a timely manner. Furthermore, your engineering background will be drawn upon to ensure new product specifications are adequately reviewed and maintained.
Overall accountability for the KPI's for engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of assigned projects. This will include maintaining the company's project management systems, coordinating in house and in-field teams and taking responsibility for all procedural and administration documentation
Keep clients abreast of project progress throughout the entire project delivery process
Maintain project management systems and budgets
Raise work orders for installation and logistics services associated with projects
Work with external consultants to deliver approval and planning documentation
Ensure all WHS practices are complied with by installation teams and staff on project sites
Assist with contractor negotiations
Work with the procurement team to ensure materials are ordered and delivered to site to meet the construction schedule
Maintain accurate project scheduling information in the BMS
Assist in the production of new policies and procedures
Assist in the internal audit process
Manage the equipment registers
Maintain an energetic and enthusiastic approach to motivate the team to achieve above expectations
Capability development for transfer of knowledge to sub-consultants, and design subcontractors, including training and development
Specialist design team mobilisation, including internal staff and external specialists
Assist staff with training "on the job" as required and one on one coaching and mentoring; and Establish and maintain a positive performance-based culture
Skills and Experience
Recognised degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical trade qualifications;
Minimum 1 year's prior project management experience within the solar PV industry
Expert knowledge of national and state regulations and guidelines in PV industry
Ideally CEC accreditation to design photovoltaic systems
White Card (or general construction induction card)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Advanced knowledge and experience of MS Office
