Job Description

Qenos is now seeking a talented individual to join their successful team in the role of Area (Maintenance) Coordinator. You will be working within a dynamic environment with multidiscipline teams to efficiently plan and coordinate process/maintenance activities to ensure that the plant operates in a safe and robust manner and is able to meet buiness objectives.

Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you will be degree qualified and have post qualification experience in similar maintenance or process based roles, ideally with experience in a Petrochemical facility or process industry. More importantly you will have a "can do" attitude, outstanding communication skills, and technical aptitude.

This role manages the operation and maintenance of the plant to ensure the proposed work is prioritised, planned, scheduled and executed effectively. It involves performance monitoring, coordinating investigations, troubleshooting unplanned issues, managing planned inspections, controlling fixed cost expense budgets and delivery of proposed weekly, monthly and annual plans. An ability to identify potential process improvement opportunities and investigate and resolve maintenance related issues is essential. It is also a role that provides significant support to the Operations shift teams.

This role requires pro-active contribution to the identification; elimination and management of SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) requirements regarding plant maintenance to ensure plant production schedules are consistently met.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong safety focus
  • Demonstrated understanding of maintenance systems and work practices (CMMS systems – SAP preferred)
  • 5-10 years' experience in a maintenance or process engineering role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong planning and coordinating skills
  • Generate and Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Strong accountability and ownership.
  • Leadership skills to implement change and champion new ideas
  • Ability to ensure work packages are delivered safely, on time, as per intended scope and within expected funding allocation (or better)
  • Ability to influence outcomes and a clear focus on the achievement of results.

With a strong understanding and commitment to SHE and Quality standards you will possess excellent analytical and work prioritisation ability, attention to detail, display initiative, work well as part of a team, have sound interpersonal skills, and have the ability to be decisive.
