Projects
Most projects are over 20 storeys and clients tend to be the key private developers in the market. They tend not to work on government projects, too much of a slow burn and run of the mill designs. They work on the technically complex, challenging designs that set the benchmark in the industry.
Company
Whilst not one of the biggest companies around, they are a sought after mid-sized specialist in buildings, and they don’t have too much trouble attracting new blood. Their approach with all new hires is to treat them as part of the family. They set the wheels into motion from day one to set them up for future leadership roles, they nurture potential.
Culture
Culture best described here is one of mateship. The Engineers that are here are also considered friends outside of work, they have been there for the long haul. Part of the reason the turnover has been so low over the years. What also helps is that they are employee owned. Each engineer is driven by the fact that one day they could also have a 'slice of the pie'.
Friday afternoon lunches are just the beginning of the social events that they voluntarily participate in. Everyone I have placed at this company or have been in contact with are still there today. These existing employees have a common message, “we get the interesting projects without having to be one of those big structured companies in town”, clearly best of both worlds in their opinion.
Must have a Civil/Structural Engineering Degree, at least 6-8 years experience in the building structures space in NSW, with particular expertise in high rise.
