Design Engineer

The Company

Our client is an industry leader in specialist industrial systems for the Construction and Resource spaces in Australia. They undertake everything from concept design, to manufacturing to installations/servicing etc.

The Role

The primary objective of the Design Drafter is to prepare well considered and accurate design and detail drawings to using Inventor 3D and AutoCad 2D drawing packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings for approval and manufacture for exsisting and new products
• Accept accountability for the technical accuracy of designs, calculations and agreed on time drawing delivery
• Participate in the review of product designs including the development of new and improved products
• Liaise with technical customers contacts where required to obtain specific design requirements
• Participate in the improvement and development of processes and systems used in   your area

Your skills

• Degree in field related to Mechanical Design / Engineering would be well regarded
• Trade or technical background in an industrial manufacturing environment is       preferred
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D drafting software
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCad 2D or similar drafting software.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an industrial environment, ideally with experience     in welding and metal fabrication processes and quality requirements
