We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Civil Engineer or Senior Technical Officer to take up an immediate contract position for our client, a major public sector employer.
The position will involve applying your demonstrated engineering skills and experience in the assessment and approval of development plans for a range of residential and commercial developer contributed infrastructure. You will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Government and Council, ideally a South East Queensland context. Similarly, you will be well versed in the planning approval process, Development Application assessments and planning scheme policies and relevant design criteria. The role will require a broad understanding of drainage and hydraulic design principles and the ability to apply these in a highly legislated and politically sensitive environment.
This position will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to negotiate and handle sensitive communications with developers and constituents.
