Reporting to the Senior Duty Technical Manager, the primary function of the Fleet Technical Specialist (FTS) is to provide technical support to the AMO’s, monitoring and managing A320 & B787 aircraft fleet health, AHM, Airman-Web and CHRONICX.

Your main accountabilities include:

  • Assists AMO’s with troubleshooting aircraft defects.
  • Identifies parts, specialised troubleshooting needed to rectify defects and inputs into TRAX.
  • Uses CHRONICX, AHM etc. to mitigate aircraft reoccurring defects.
  • Maintains a comprehensive log of TS efforts, rectifications, parts replacements on every Aircraft.
  • Build Engineering Maintenance Notification (EMN) (until automated).
  • Re-plan deferred defect tasks from work packs.
  • Liaise with Line Maintenance Planning (LMP), Aircraft Allocations Coordinator (AAC) and AMO for hangar slots and manpower requirement for overnight defects.
  • Set priorities and ports for overnight defect acquittal.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience providing:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Heavy or Line Maintenance environment on company aircraft as an AME or equivalent
  • AME or higher level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a team; Demonstrate knowledge of PART 145 / 42 regulatory framework; Understanding of TRAX, AIRMAN, AIRNAV, AHM, Rocade and Microsoft Office applications.
