Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides Sustainment Support for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) fleet of AF/A-18A and AF/A-18B (Classic Hornet) aircraft. The program has an integrated Commonwealth and contractor workforce, led by Boeing Defence Australia, and is currently seeking applications for the role Planning and Scheduling Specialist.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support preparation, development and coordination of an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements.
  • Assist with the development of program plans, schedules and coordinate with affected organisations, document work statements and resulting schedules.
  • Support the integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners of moderate complexity.
  • Identify and report performance variances.
  • Participate in the review of proposed changes to the baseline.

 

To be successful you will have:

  • Knowledge: Makes use of and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles and concepts.
  • Problem Solving: Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies, procedures and practices for guidance.
  • Discretion: Works under general supervision. Products are reviewed for sound judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
  • Impact: Contributes to the completion of organisational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may result in the allocation of additional resources.
  • Liaison: Interacts primarily with internal personnel and external customers.
  • Represents the organisation on specific projects.
  • Typical Education/Experience: Relevant Bachelor's degree and typically three or more years' related work experience, Master's degree and typically one or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
