Our leading global Automotive client is looking for Design Integration Engineer to join their established business at Melbourne for ongoing contract role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the delivery of all Studio related requirements for the Electrical and Electronic System Engineering(EESE) team
• Lead the package of B surface EESE commodities
• Act as key link between the Studio / Design team and the EESE Engineering team
• Coordinate the Engineering team to track styling driven cost, weight and timing
• Continue to develop direct relationships with Studio and other PMT’s to facilitate consistent and deliverable processes.
• Be the single point of contact for all studio related items for current and future model programs

Skills and Experience Required :

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and or Automotive Design or Industrial Preferred
• 5+ years relevant engineering experience including a minimum of two full model program cycles in a studio or design engineering role
• Ability to develop CAD to support studio studies / issue resolution
• Ability to investigate, identify and analyze issues with surface and CAD design
• Ability to assess feasibility of surfaces when interfacing with mechatronic / electronic components
• Skilled in CATIA v5, Teamcenter & Digibuck
• Skilled in advanced A & B-Surface creation
• Understanding of tool design requirements (Plastic Injection mouldings, Aluminium Die Castings, Sheet Metal)
• Strong project management competencies including team coordination and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams
• Ability to lead and work with a cross functional / cross regional team
