Kinexus is Australia’s Leading Supplier of recruitment solutions to the Defence and Aerospace sectors. As a partner with some of the largest Defence projects in Australia, we currently have a position available for an Avionics Design Engineer to be based in Canberra. This is a key role within the organisation that will see you heavily involved in performing and managing design activities.
Our client is seeking candidates with significant experience in Defence Avionics & Electrical systems including one or more of: Avionics, Electrical, Electronic, Mission Systems, Communications, and SATCOM systems. The ideal candidate will have a track record in the repair and upgrade of the systems above as well as holding (or ability to gain quickly) Design Engineer Status (DE).

- Broad experience in Avionics Engineering
- Degree (or higher) in Avionics or Electrical Systems
- CPEng certification or working towards CPEng certification
- Develop and approving design packages
- Experience conducting technical investigations
- Avionics Software Integration experience and knowledge
- Experience working within a Systems Program Office
- MUST hold a current ADF security clearance
