Description
You will be responsible for supporting end-users and maintaining branch servers. You will primarily be responsible for sites in South West Sydney and the Illawarra. There will be some project work i.e. migrating branch servers, updating group policies, maintaining the SOE, etc.
Tasks include:
- Desktop, mobile device, and server support
- Backup monitoring and maintenance
- Responding to alerts and tickets
- Updating group policies
- Deploying desktop and server images
- Packaging and deploying applications
Profile
To be successful in this role you will possess the following selection criteria:
- At least four years of experience in IT Support, System Administration, or System Engineering roles in a mid to large-size company (minimum 250 seats). The ideal candidate will have experience working as a field support technician or field system administrator. Experience working in the field for a tier 1 or 2 Managed Services Provider would be an advantage.
- An ability to build strong relationships with end-users at all levels of the organisation, and provide outstanding customer service.
- A solid understanding of ITIL service management processes. ITIL certification and experience providing support in an ITIL environment would be ideal.
- Strong technical skills in the technology platforms supported by the team. This should be demonstrated through both experience and relevant vendor certification. MCP at a minimum. A full MCITP/MCSE will be highly regarded. CCNA and VCP vendor certifications would be an advantage.
- Experience dealing with support from Tier 1 system vendors in a corporate environment.
- A university education an IT or business-related discipline will be highly regarded
- A solid project track record, delivering projects to scope on time and within budget. Experience working on projects managed with the PRINCE2 methodology will be highly regarded.
- A valid driver’s license and a vehicle. The role will require driving to other sites within NSW, and occasional interstate travel.
