Working in close partnership with our customers, we solve complex engineering challenges to transform the way we fly, drive, build and power.
Reporting to the Engineering, Maintenance & ABS Manager, you will be located at our manufacturing facility in Clayton, Melbourne.
Areas of accountability include:
- Use continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies to improve machine reliability, performance, safety and quality
- Prepare and analyse product and process flow charts, value stream maps and flow paths to reduce throughput and downtime to maximise OEE
- Collect, analyse and review machine and production data to provide recommendations for sustained improvements
- Implement and ensure a TPM/AM system is maintained for machines
- Assist with conducting risk assessments and following up on findings
- Engage all employees to undertake 5S activities to drive a cultural improvement
- Prepare, conduct and follow-up on Kaizens
- Review, standardise and improve work instructions
- Prepare training materials and deliver training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant
- Work with the Engineering team to design and implement process and machine improvement solutions
The ideal applicant will have:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or other relevant disciplines)
- At least 2 years of Lean/ Continuous Improvement role in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Continuous Improvement principle and practices, including but not limited to Kaizen, 5S, 6 Sigma, TPM/AM and lean manufacturing
- Advanced Microsoft Office suit
- Database design and coding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a great team player
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt qualification will be advantageous but not essential
