Downer leads the way in Asphalt and Surfacing and is at the forefront of working with new technologies and processes and introducing them to the Australian market. This opportunity is for an experienced Supervisor to join our Foamix production site, a newly acquired part of the Downer Roads business located in Somerton.
In this role you will have a strong client facing component, understanding the needs to the customers to best be able to service and manage production meeting expectations whilst maintaining compliance and quality in line with regulations.
Your role will be to manage and coordinate the team, overseeing the daily production and planning. Liaising heavily with customers being a primary point of contact, able to technically advise on Foamix products, while identify opportunities or improvements throughout the production process. You will have site responsibilities for quality, HR, Zero Harm and business management and have overall management of budgets and finance.
You will have:
- Diploma of Civil Engineering/Production/Project Manager or equivalent
- Hands on and proven experience working in a lead or management role specifically in a Civil/Asphalt environment, or quarry.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in management both of staff, client, and finances
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong MS Office skills
- AAPA Working safety and commitment to Zero Harm.
