The Repair Centre Technician is required to diagnose, repair and test medical and surgical equipment within the Repair Centre. Interact with customers via the telephone and provide troubleshooting to customers over the phone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow documented internal procedures to repair surgical equipment in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Conduct Quality Inspection Procedures for all repaired equipment in accordance with detailed work instructions.
  • Speak with hospitals and customers over the phone and troubleshoot issues
  • Organise and schedule in devices to be returned to the service centre
  • Meet weekly individual targets measured by volume of repairs and other work undertaken

Essential Requirements

  • A background in Biomedical Engineering - or passion for workshop based position
  • A passion to achieve great results
  • Safely manage and use basic hand, power, mechanical and electrical tools
  • Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
  • Flexible approach to all situations
  • Ability to learn new skills, processes and systems
  • Accountability for high level project work and process improvement
  • Attention to details and ability to work to deadlines and plans
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Challenge driven
  • Ability to learn new products and systems
