We are offering exciting opportunities for experienced Environmental Advisors to join Georgiou. These are exciting opportunities to join our New South Wales business unit on the Windsor Bridge Replacement Project and The Northern Road Stage 4 upgrade project, supporting their successful delivery.
What we are seeking:
3- 5 years’ experience in environmental management with preference to linear infrastructure construction projects (road or rail)
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
Demonstrated experience in interpreting NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
Experience in environmental management of construction works assessed under Part 5 and Part 5.1 of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
Experience in environmental management of scheduled activities requiring Environmental Protection Licences (EPLs).
Demonstrated experience with Blue Books 1 & 2D Erosion and Sedimentation Control
Someone who has the ability to build effective working relationships onsite.
What to expect in this role:
- Provide ongoing support to project teams by ensuring Georgiou’s environmental systems are being effectively implemented, including:-
- Implement Georgiou’s environmental policy and to aid in the successful delivery of projects.
- Provide specialist advice on environmental aspects such as noise, vibration, air quality, water quality, soil management, heritage and ecology. ,
- Apply for and manage any required environmental permits and approvals
- Provide project team with awareness of legal compliance requirements
- Record all relevant environmental data and compile reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and support the junior members of the environmental team and work closely with the National Environmental Manager.
