About the opportunity
Our Brisbane team have a number of exciting opportunities and are currently seeking CV’s to assess the market for personnel who could be of interest to our business.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Electrical/Instrumentation Engineers with hands-on technical (not project engineering) experience in Brownfield and Greenfield projects. The purpose of this role is to support delivery of successful projects and programs by contributing to and working as part of a large Oil and Gas and Resources team whilst working within the Jacobs process and project procedures framework.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in brownfield Oil & Gas or Mining, Instrument, Electrical & Control engineering, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams
- Practical and technical engineering skills; able to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to industry, Australian and customer standards and procedures
- Preparation and checking of engineering and design deliverables
- Experienced with designing to Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000
- Experienced with Hazardous Area Equipment Selection and Design to AS/NZS 60079, with Classification and Design competencies to AS/NZS 4761
- Experienced with Hazardous Area Increased Safety and Intrinsically Safe Systems Calculations
- Experienced with Powerpac Pro and/or ETAP calculation software
- Technical review of Vendor information for compliance with design
- Good working knowledge of, and can communicate clearly and effectively in English (written and oral)
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineer I or maximum Level II having attained, or be in the process of attaining RPEQ / CPEng accreditation
Some Highly desirable skills:
- Experienced with DCS Honeywell and/or Allen Bradley Control Systems
- Experienced with Smart Plant Instrument (SPI)
- Experienced with PowerTools
- Experienced with SIL verification / calculation, with appropriate competencies as a TUV Functional Safety Engineer
- Practical (site-based) experience
