The Role

With an expanding portfolio of global Defence projects, our Defence Training Range and Specialist Facilities Centre of Excellence has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer with 10 years' experience to work alongside highly experienced industry professionals. In this role, you will be part of a team who provides world-class training facilities to develop and maintain a Defence, Security and Border Force mission critical capability.

Based in either Brisbane or Sunshine Coast, you will be responsible for the preparation of civil designs for these projects and will have experience with AutoCAD and 3D modelling software for design development. You will apply your skills to assist in the detailing and drafting of all aspects of civil works including earthworks, roadworks, services coordination and stormwater design. You will have an aptitude for resolving complex site constraints within the operational parameters required of such facilities.

Skills, qualifications and experience: 

• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, with 8-12 years relevant experience
• Experience in 3D and 12D design modelling
• AutoCAD capability in drafting and detailing civil projects
• Job Management and client relationship management and project delivery skills
• An eye for detail with a strong focus on the production of quality outputs • Analytical and problem solving skills
• Previous project experience within a multi-disciplinary team
