• Permanent Full Time position, Convenient Clyde Location
• Be part of Sydney Train’s Mechanised Maintenance Program
• RC Grade 6 ($120,237 - $133,322 p.a + super) with potential over-time

The opportunity
Working within the Major Works Division, the Project Manager – Track and Remediation will focus on the planning, coordination and management of projects associated with the Mechanised Maintenance Program. Alongside this you will be accountable for delivery of project outcomes in line with the Major Works Division’s Annual Works Program. Reporting to the Manager Track Programs, you will also undertake management of project scope, cost, schedule, risk, quality, communications and change controls.

Some of the key responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with Program Planning Office to ensure clarity of initial scope and plans.
• Manage multiple projects to deliver outcomes for stakeholders in terms of safety, scope, quality, standards, budget, time-frames and customer expectations.
• Develop Project Management documentation including project plans, schedules and resource plans with stakeholders.
• Provide regular (at least monthly) updates to project forecast costs and project schedules and track and report on project delivery against project performance objectives.

We are looking for a Project Manager who has a Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Logistics background and who can manage multiple projects in a complex engineering rail environment. The ideal candidate will possess an established commercial acumen and experience in contract administration who can build effective working relationships with external partners and to ensure delivery of contracts are to the required standard. Well-developed reporting and communication skills are essential with a drive to deliver successful projects a must! Experience in a role involving the planning of works trains or rail projects is an advantage.
