Reporting directly to the Section Manager Facilities and Catchment Management, the role of the Process Engineer is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of Central Coast Councils (CCC) water supply dams, catchments and groundwater schemes. The Process Engineer also provides significant technical advice, management and support to the section for the operation and maintenance of water and sewage treatment facilities and various non-potable treatment and recycling schemes.
Key activities of this role include:
- Ensure relevant guidelines and legislation are met in the operation, management and maintenance of Sewage Treatment Plants, potable and non-potable Water Treatment Plants, Dam, Catchments and other associated infrastructure and/or assets;
- Investigate faults, solve complex process issues and provide technical input and process advice to operators and staff across the Unit as required;
- Prepare tenders and manage contracts relating to operational and capital works programs.
