The Utility Services Division provides services to the Power, Energy, Water and Environmental sectors.

The role:

We are looking for a motivated Asset Engineer to join the team in Victoria based out of Burwood.

Reporting to the Assets Manager, you will be responsible to oversee the operation and critical maintenance ensuring that the team delivers asset management, engineering and maintenance strategies, policies and plans to optimise performance of key organisation assets such as power and desalination plants.

Some of the duties will involve:

• Interface with business development and marketing to strengthen tenders as well as future opportunities for the team.
• Implement systems and procedures to ensure conformity with specifications and plans, laws, regulations, standards relating to quality, cost, safety, timeliness, performance and maintenance to optimise efficiency.
• Review maintenance standards with ta view of “Best for Asset” approach and report on asset condition.
• Take ownership for the traceability, accuracy and repeatability of all reported data and information in the systems and processes used to generate this data.
• Travel to Yallourn and other sites throughout Victoria and interstate
• Quality delivery on time  

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering - Electrical Engineering degree highly regarded.
• Asset management/ Reliability/ Maintenance Engineering qualifications desirable
• 5-10 years’ experience in a power station or similar heavy industry environments.
• 5 years’ experience in delivering asset management / reliability engineering solutions to customers
• Self-starter able to manage multiple projects
• Demonstrated ability in business development and supporting tender preparation
• High level of technical document writing, specifically asset management documentation
• The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to read, interpret and apply the asset management standards ISO 5500
• Advanced knowledge of data analysis, reporting, spreadsheets and data management techniques.
• Ability to develop business opportunities with internal and external customers
• Ability to take personal ownership to ensure delivery of outcomes in line with cost, quality and time requirements.
• Drivers Licence and own vehicle required.
