A global food manufacturing company is currently looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Fitter to join the team. The company operates a number of modern, automated and efficient production plants across Australia. The company’s success has resulted in an excellent opportunity for a highly capable Maintenance Fitter, who will be a key part of the team and responsible for maintenance and mechanical repair work.

The role:

• Perform mechanical repair and maintenance tasks as required.
• Ensure that the plant’s operations perform at optimum efficiency, productivity and profitability.
• Ensure knowledge of new technological developments in the industry and recommend implementation.
• Ensure complete adherence to safety procedures at all times.
• Perform routine tasks with control procedures that minimize environmental harm and reduce utilities consumption.

The ideal candidate:

• Qualification in mechanical maintenance or similar.
• Experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing/production company.
• TIG, MIG and stick welding.
• Forklift operator’s license.
• Excellent communication and technical skills.
