Your new company
This Tasmanian Government owned entity is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the state's electricity network. They are committed to delivering the lowest sustainable supply of electricity to consumers whilst operating efficiently as a financially viable business which is determined to maximise its economic benefit to Tasmania. They are currently looking for a Field Engineer to join their team working out of their operational site in Rocherlea.
Your new role
Working as part of the Engineering and Design team, this role will see you provide a high level of technical support on the operation and maintenance of transmission and distribution network assets. You will build strong relationships and be a key connection between departments across the organisation working towards the successful delivery of programs of work. With a focus on improving the reliability and security of assets and systems, this interesting and challenging role will also see you be responsible for incident investigation and management, quality assurance, continuous improvement and data analysis.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal applicant will be a qualified Engineer with strong knowledge of engineering and design practices relating to electricity asset operations and maintenance. You will be a self-motivated individual with a customer focused approach and the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders. With a flexible approach and a strong work ethic, you will be able to take advantage of the excellent training and development on offer to quickly grow your expertise further. Although applicants in Northern Tasmania are preferred, applications from individuals based in Hobart may be considered.
