FIELD Engineers provide design, engineering and project management services to the resources and construction industries and have consulting offices in Brisbane and Mackay.

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Designer. While this position is heavily design focused, you may also undertake engineering related activities, including analysis, survey, and job management.
To succeed in the role you will have:
- minimum five years' experience in mechanical/structural drafting for heavy industry;
- advanced skill in Solidworks, and a generally high level of computer literacy;
- ability to develop concept and detailed 3-d design models;
- ability to produce arrangement and detailed manufacture drawings;
- commercial awareness and ability to manage your own projects and budgets;
- ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
Desirable, but not essential are:
- tertiary qualifications in Engineering (mechanical or structural);
- previous experience in coal mining, specifically with draglines and CHPP's;
- experience operating laser scanners (Leica P20 or similar);
- compliance auditing experience.
This role is based in our Mackay office with travel to client sites throughout Queensland required from time to time.
