The key objective of this role is to support our sales function to achieve strong business results through the promotion of Festo’s Process Automation (PA) product range across our Australian and New Zealand markets.
You will provide Festo’s sales team, customers and distributors with any support required in relation to our portfolio of PA products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting Sales with identifying, selecting and recommending products/solutions for PA applications
- Creating and managing project and tender proposals for PA products
- Creating Bill of Materials (BoMs) and place enquiries in the Festo Enterprise Resource Planning tool (SAP) for custom valve assembly solutions
- Creating quotations for customers as required
- Providing product costs and information for quoting purposes
- Working collaboratively with Engineering on product selection to develop suitable customer solutions
- Working with the Process Automation Manager to develop and deliver sales and training presentations to Customers, Festo Authorised Distributors/Resellers, and the Festo AUNZ Sales Team
- Assisting with the marketing and promotion of Festo Process Automation Products and Solutions, including product updates, both internally and externally
- Assist in the Management of Process Automation Stock Levels
- Assist in the Management of Process Automation Demonstration Equipment and Sample Stock
- Liaising with third party suppliers regarding product technical details and pricing when required
- Liaising with HQ regarding technical information and product updates
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with various valve types including ball, angle seat, quarter-turn & knife-gate
- Knowledge of process valve applications including selection, sizing and maintenance
- Experience with valve actuator sizing/selection
- Experience in water, mining & minerals, chemical and food, dairy and beverage industries is highly desirable
- Project Estimation experience is desirable
- An understanding of closed loop control systems is desirable
- A demonstrated ability to handle competing demands without compromising standards of service or quality
- Demonstrated planning/time management skills
- A demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail
- Sales and/or Product Management experience would be a bonus
