Chandler Macleod is working with a market leader in the manufacture and supply of gear reducers and gear motors to the industrial, mining and equipment manufacturing sector.

Our client currently has an employment opportunity for an experienced individual to join their project team in the capacity of Project Co-ordinator (mechanical). This role would suit an individual who has had previous work experience in a similar position. Initial product training and guidance on project processes will be provided.

This is a challenging position offering an attractive remuneration and strong career prospects. A salary commensurate with experience and qualifications will be negotiated.


Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage the scope, scheduling and cost control of projects

• Purchasing & expediting to meet project deadlines

• Analyse and interpret detailed design drawings in line with client/project requirements.

• Document and maintain client correspondence & project files

• Liaise with clients and staff to achieve project objectives

• Assist with project tender proposals and equipment selection




Experience & qualifications needed:

• Must be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum of 2 years exposure in a manufacturing & design environment

• Strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of logistics/supply chain processes

• Proficient in Microsoft outlook/Excel & Word

• Knowledge of the mining sector is desirable

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Good organisational skills
