Mechanical / Structural Designer
The Role:
With a large and exciting portfolio of work, we are seeking a motivated Mechanical / Structural Designer to join the team. The role represents an opportunity for an experienced professional to secure a role with an employer of choice.
You will be working closely with Engineers of all disciplines and a specialist Design team, predominantly completing detail design of mining process infrastructure and the systems that support these.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Creating 3D concept models from a client’s brief
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders to achieve solutions
- Creation of 2D Drawings for Client Approval and Construction
- Implementation of client technical specifications, Australian Standards and/or other relevant standards, and in accordance with best industry practice.
- Professional and disciplined approach to document procedures and time management
To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and qualifications:
- 5+ years Design experience
- Significant experience within an engineering consultancy in the Mining sector
- Exposure to Iron Ore or Lithium projects will be highly regarded.
- Proven proficiency with Aecosim or Microstation
- Solid cross discipline experience including mechanical, piping and structural
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously
