Berendsen Fluid Power provides packaged hydraulic systems as well as repair and maintenance services, including cylinder and pump repair and on-site services, for users of hydraulic equipment.

The success of our business hinges on the ability of our sales and service teams to provide repair and maintenance solutions that solve our customer's problems and reduce their operating expenditure. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Sales Engineer to join our Wetherill Park branch. 

You will be responsible for managing relationships with an existing client base as well as developing new business within key target sectors.   

To succeed in this role, you will plan and implement a structured sales call plan and apply your sound knowledge of hydraulic product applications, hydraulic system maintenance practices and repair processes to develop proposals and quotations for existing and potential clients that ultimately lead to the engagement of our service division. As you work towards financial targets you will have the support and backing of the Berendsen brand, our workshop facility and technical team in Wetherill Park, our manufacturing facility in Newcastle, and our engineering division in Sydney.

To be suited to this role you will ideally have the following;

• Front-line sales experience in Fluid Power, Mining, or Heavy Industry Sectors
• Proficient in hydraulic system application and maintenance practices
• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma, or relevant Hydraulic Trades experience
• Heightened customer focus
• Drive and initiative   
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional writing and presentation skills

Your accountabilities will include:

• Managing existing client relationships
• Calling on potential new clients to develop new contacts and relationships
• Visiting client sites to investigate requirements and develop solutions
• Creating proposals, presentations and sales quotations
• Reporting to management regarding sales activities and business development
