I recently spoke to the Construction Manager of a highly regarded local civils contractor, and they are looking for a Project Manager to join their tight knit team working on road & bridge projects.
 
This business is currently expanding having been around in Melbourne for over 30 years. They have several division – this Project Manager will join their Infrastructure team focussing on VicRoads & bridge projects. You will have the opportunity to manage projects from bid through to completion.
 
The successful Project Manager will manage a bridge construction project initially, before stepping into the office to aid with tenders & bids. This will give you exposure to the whole project lifecycle and the chance to learn from a talented infrastructure team.

The role

• Traditional Project Manager duties on a VicRoads & Bridge project
• Managing a team of engineers and supervisors to achieve PC on time and in budget
• Working alongside pre-contract team aiding in tenders for further bridge & road projects

The Package

• Basic salary of up to $140k
• Package incl. car + super

The requirements

• Prior experience for Tier 2 contractor (preferably as Project Manager)
• Prior experience constructing bridge projects in Melbourne (Preferably as Project Manager)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively manage external relationships
• Must be able to travel around sub-urban Melbourne to project locations
