This role of Check Coordinator, Base Maintenance is situated in Tamworth regional NSW. The position of Check Coordinator will see you responsible for producing a quality, compliant aircraft, within agreed turn time and budget to meet customer's requirements. This role will contribute to the overall success of the business, ensuring operational metrics are met.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing accurate quotes including labour hours, materials, ground time and sub contract costs for aircraft checks
  • Technical analysis of maintenance check content and project pre-planning
  • Constructing aircraft project plans to ensure optimum operational efficiencies
  • Identifying resources and logistics required to achieve critical path and delivery targets
  • Providing clear and timely communication to Team Leaders and other stakeholders
  • Supporting maintenance teams in forecasting and resolution of production issues
  • Co-ordinating, driving and monitoring Base Maintenance checks and assume responsibility for check performance and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance to procedures
  • Actioning post check reviews and implement corrective actions
  • Assisting with business projects including Lean and six sigma projects
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures.

You’ll have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong commitment to safety
  • Strong Project Management skills and demonstrable success managing projects
  • An ability to build teams and co-ordinate large groups in a complex operational environment
  • Extensive experience in managing large numbers of technically oriented people
  • Ability to hold C rating
  • Detailed understanding of airline and maintenance services regulatory requirements
  • Maintenance experience on Dash 8 aircraft and hold CASA, or equivalent, ratings on Dash 8 aircraft
