About the role
The position of the Senior Project Manager – Capital Projects Programming sits within the Project Design and Delivery team, a division of Infrastructure & Operations (https://www.latrobe.edu.au/io/about ). The Senior Project Manager – Capital Projects Programmer’s primary role is to manage the Pre Design (Feasibility phases, Projects Works Request process, development of project programs & budgets and associated Business Cases) & Post Construction (Project Implementation Reviews, data analysis & lessons learnt) phases of projects. Whilst the majority of these Project’s design, tender, construction & Defects Liability Phases will be delivered by other members of the Project Design and Delivery team, the position may also require the management & delivery of the individuals own projects.
The Senior Project Manager – Capital Projects Programming is required to manage & coordinate the activities of internal Project Managers including the overseeing of their resource management, project programming, project cash flowing, project management plans and project communications. The Senior Project Manager – Capital Projects, reports directly to the Director, Project Design & Delivery.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A strong knowledge of building design, procurement methodologies & construction, especially in an environment that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all year round;
- A Degree in either Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management supplemented by a minimum of 5 years industry experience
- An outstanding track record of:
- managing a successful feasibility process;
- managing a successful Project Implementation Review & lessons learnt process;
- managing & leading internal project teams inclusive of resource planning;
- co-ordinating multiple project programs and associated cash flows;
- successfully delivering multiple complex & logistically challenging building & infrastructure projects on program and within budget in parallel with one another;
- building and managing relationships with satisfied clients; and
- build and sustain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, consultants & contractors to deliver successful project outcomes.
