The company
Are you currently seeking a role that allows you to work on product development, develop testing plans and validate market leading home appliances and consumer electronics? Our client is a leading manufacturer within ANZ and they are seeking a Product Compliance and Development Engineer to join their experienced team on a permanent, full time basis.
The Role
Reporting into the National Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Developing testing plans, designing test procedures and reviewing all results
• Confirming all products have relevant certification (e.g. electrical, gas and water)
• Creating and approving artwork
• Liaising with test laboratory and certifying bodies
• Coordinating product audits
• Overseeing the approval of new Watermark, GEMS, WELS and gas related products
• Cultivating valuable working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Proactively communicating with quality assurance teams based overseas regarding matters such as certifications, testing and compliance areas
Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a relevant background in Quality Control, Compliance or Product Development coupled with hands on experience developing & testing products and validating product performance.
• Tertiary degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical is preferred) or a relevant degree
• Previous experience working with either gas, water or electrics
• Thorough understanding of document control and standards
• Technically capable with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Solid analytical skills, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical motors, switch gas and understanding of PCB is highly desirable
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe In design and Illustrator
