Ground Support Equipment Technician – KC30A RAAF Base Amberley

These capabilities encompass all levels of platform sustainment and stewardship including engineering, maintenance, modification, repair, training, in-service monitoring, reliability, planning, purchasing and supply.

NGA-TS is currently seeking a highly motivated and professional Ground Support Equipment Technician based at RAAF Base Amberley, Qld.

This position reports to the KC30 GSE Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the maintenance and servicing requirements of all KC30A Support and Test equipment (S&TE) in accordance with the KC30A S&TE TMP published procedures and OEM manuals.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the S&TE maintenance activities ensuring that they comply with the relevant Manuals that detail maintenance policies and procedures for Tooling, Equipment and GSE.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to ensure S&TE is available with minimum disruption to Maintenance Operations.
• Record all maintenance performed on relevant documentation and maintain detailed records to comply with regulations
• Ensures all items that have been identified for maintenance are removed from service until maintenance is completed.
• Support the customer with the operation and utilization of KC30A S&TE.
• On time release and delivery of all required tooling
• Ensures no tooling is found out of calibration during day to day aircraft maintenance or audits
• Ensure that updates are made to approved GSE management database as required 

Skills and experience required:

• Experience in the field of Aircraft Maintenance
• Sound understanding of an aircraft regulatory environment
• The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance at Baseline level
• General Engineering Experience
• The ability to interface with Defence personnel on GSE requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a multi-disciplinary team
• Extensive experience in customer liaison roles

Note: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
