To support the delivery of a major sustaining capital works programme we invite applications from suitably skilled and experienced Cost Control Officers to join the team at our Perth offices on Hay Street. We would like to hear from early career-minded industry professionals who can demonstrate the tenacity to succeed and be part of our success.

The key role requirements will include:

  • Responsible for entering and maintaining of project cost information into functional systems;
  • Responsible for processing project delivery purchase orders;
  • Supporting the Cost Control Analyst with project asset capitalisation including being responsible for monitoring the Assets Under Construction (AUC) balance. And labour cost capitalisation;
  • The review, verification and correction of project cost coding;
  • Coordination and interfacing with key stakeholders in the management of project cost information;
  • Responsible for the accurate allocation and coding of project costs into assigned functional systems;
  • Deliver and work to the timeframes within the rolling reporting calendar.

As an ideal candidate for this position you should possess:

  • Relevant experience, certification or functional training;
  • 3-5+ years of related professional experience, and 0-1+ years in project controls delivery;
  • Able to work as part of a team;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Advanced communication and time management skills;
  • Knowledge of the aspects and impacts of various types of cost coding variables;
  • Understand cost risk factors and the ability to highlight them to key stakeholders;
  • General knowledge of project execution or project management principles;
  • Experience using SAP is highly regarded.
