In the position of Cost Control Analyst, you will report directly to the regional Senior Controls Analyst and work with a number of Project Managers on project cost related matters, whilst being responsible for the preparation and review of all project financial information.

The key role requirements will include:

  • Preparation and review of detailed Project Forecasts on at least a monthly basis;
  • Prepare inputs required for the departmental and executive reporting;
  • Execute detailed Change/Trend Management process;
  • Prepare inputs required for, or support, the Senior Controls Analyst to achieve the Capital Review, Tollgate and Project List Management processes;
  • Preparation of Value of Work reports across a large portfolio of work;
  • Prepare inputs required for the Project cash flows;
  • Collate actual and forecasted costs from Project Engineers;
  • Set up and maintain data in functional cost management systems;
  • Vendor performance reporting;
  • Preparation of revenue forecasting for the project for submission to the Project Controls team;
  • Assistance with reporting site based staff required adjustments to Aurecon payroll.

As an ideal candidate for this position you should possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications;
  • 5+ years of related professional experience, and 2+ years in project controls delivery;
  • Sound understanding of accounting and finance control in major portfolios of work;
  • Knowledge of contractual principles and contract administration related to project controls (contract engagement types, payment claims (PPPC), variations, trends, bank guarantees, retentions etc.)
  • Advanced communication and time management skills;
  • Skills in cost, contingency and, risk management;
  • Experience using SAP & PrismG2 is highly regarded.
