We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Verification & Validation Engineer to join our European Train Control (ETCS) Trackside Engineering team. In this role, you will take responsibility for the Validation of ETCS application data, design reports, specifications, programming and the Test & Commissioning (T&C) of the ETCS Trackside sub-system.

Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

• Definition, development and management of ETCS subsystem requirements
• Production of the ETCS detailed design in accordance with the System Design, Principles and Requirements
• Follow Configuration Management procedures for documents and vital data
• Production of ETCS Validation and Test documentation
• Participate in Integration and Validation and site Testing & Commissioning activities
• Liaise with the customer to ensure proper communication on technical details

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Software, Systems, Electrical or Communications) or similar
• Strong knowledge of the Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Background working within Train Control Systems or Signalling
• Knowledge of Automatic Train Protection (ATP) systems, specifically ETCS
• Excellent people and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels within the organisation.
• Team oriented with the ability to work independently
