Our client is a large organisation who operate on an international level; they supply mining services, mobile plant equipment, repairs and maintenance support to a wide variety of mining companies.
This role is a new role due to the growth of the company, you will work closely with the workshop manager responsible for estimating and providing quotes on projects.
Reporting to the Business Manager, your duties will include:
- As a significant representative of the company; you will need to demonstrate the values and build good relationships with clients, supplies and contractors
- You will produce job costing reports, looking at labour and materials
- Attend post tender meetings
- Assist with the price negotiation and accurately interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- You will need to be comfortable in communicating with the client; providing solutions where required.
To be successful in the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Ideally you will have worked in estimating on mobile plant equipment or will have an extensive background working on mobile plant equipment looking to move away from the tools.
- Experience working with caterpillar equipment in a must.
- Proficient with MS Office programmes, specifically excel.
- Mechanical HD Fitter background would be highly regarded.
