About the Organisation
As an established and successful privately-owned civil contractor with circa 20 years of operational experience, they are experiencing unprecedented growth across the business. With turnover well over $50m, they have made the strategic decision to bring in a Construction Manager to manage and mentor project teams across metro and/ or regional NSW projects.
About the Opportunity
With strong project teams on their existing projects including some exceptional younger engineers and project managers, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager with excellent delivery record within tier 2 or tier 3 contractors. You will bring valuable engineering and management skills to the team, particularly in driving programmes and cost reporting practises. The role is to be based out of the western Sydney office, and will involve frequent travel to project sites across the state, so will require candidates with a degree of flexibility.
About You
You should be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary Qualified (Civil/ Structural) with minimum of 15 years civil construction experience.
- Project management background within Australian contractors turning over between $50m - $300m ideally.
- Strong engineering background within heavy civil projects eg. Roads, bridges, Bulk Earthworks etc.
- Experience managing teams of engineers and driving project teams in a cohesive and positive manner.
- Strong financial and contractual acumen with natural leadership qualities.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work, and willing to be highly visible on site and available to project teams for mentorship, advice and general management.
